La Poeteca de Canarias, a cultural project in the heart of La Laguna.

In the heart of the university city of La Laguna, the Javier Fernández Quesada Student Park (formerly Los Dragos Park) is home to a unique cultural space: La Poeteca de Canarias, a project managed by writer Ramiro Rosón. This literary corner not only promotes the dissemination of Spanish, but also connects the community with the richness of the Canary Islands' cultural heritage.

The Poeteca de Canarias is located in the kiosk of the Javier Fernández Quesada Park, decorated with a mural by the artist Paula Calavera. Also, in front of the kiosk, another mural by the artist Víctor Seus can be seen, covering the side façade of the Practicas Aneja School. Thus, the surroundings of the park become a meeting point between art, education and local identity. The proximity between La Poeteca de Canarias and this school strengthens the link between education and creativity, promoting actions that enrich the cultural life of La Laguna.

In addition to his work as coordinator of La Poeteca de Canarias, Ramiro Rosón plays an important role in the promotion of Spanish and Canarian culture nationally and internationally. His work as a writer and cultural manager is disseminated beyond Tenerife, establishing connections with the Latin American world and highlighting the importance of Spanish as a bridge between cultures. This effort is aligned with research and publications that have addressed the historical relationship of the Canary Islands with other regions, such as the British influence in the archipelago or the role of the Canary Islanders in the founding of the current state of Texas. These studies underline the relevance of the Canary Islands in cultural and linguistic exchanges throughout history.

From our business initiatives, we not only want to highlight the management of La Poeteca de Canarias and its impact on the community, but also the role of La Laguna as an epicenter of culture and education. By linking literature, academic training and urban art, this initiative highlights the commitment to the dissemination of Spanish and the enhancement of the Canary Islands' cultural heritage in a global context.
