We present our 2026 calendar

In 2026, we wish to share with all our collaborators, followers, and partner organizations one more tool for connection and commitment: the 2026 Calendar of the Playa Paraíso Technological Park. This annual publication not only includes a compendium of dates and initiatives, but also stands as a symbol of our dedication to transforming Playa Paraíso (Adeje, Tenerife) into a hub of innovation, blue economy, and collaboration among companies, universities, and public administrations. The calendar not only reflects the working days and public holidays of the year, but also the imprint of our trajectory and our goals for the months ahead.

The Playa Paraíso Technological Park project was born from the desire to articulate business initiatives that promote the sustainable economic development of the southern coast of Tenerife, fostering research, job creation, and the attraction of local and international talent. Over the years, we have worked to create spaces for dialogue among economic stakeholders, strengthening strategic sectors such as the blue economy, clean energy, sustainable tourism, and sea-related services. Our blog has documented meetings with partner individuals and organizations, enriching experiences, and a constant openness to new opportunities for investment and cooperation.

This new calendar not only marks the days of 2026, but also embodies our roadmap for continuing to promote initiatives that integrate technological innovation with respect for the natural environment and the promotion of local development. Each month represents an invitation to keep dialogue alive between civil society and business stakeholders, to recognize the importance of the sea and its resources, and to generate synergies that reinforce Tenerife’s role as a platform for economic and scientific development. We hope that its recipients will feel the commitment and energy that characterize our work.

We invite companies, public institutions, educational centers, and the general public to use this calendar as a planning tool and to join us in the challenges that this newly begun year brings. We hope that 2026 will foster fruitful collaborations, shared visions, and tangible progress for the Playa Paraíso Technological Park project and for all the individuals and organizations that support it. Together, we can build a more prosperous, green, and collaborative future.

Finally, we would like to thank graphic designer Pedro Ángel Hernández López for the design of this calendar, a task he has also carried out in previous years with the quality that characterizes his work.

Presentamos nuestro calendario 2026

La Laguna launches immersive viewpoints: heritage, technology, and experience-based tourism

The municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna has promoted an innovative network of immersive viewpoints aimed at enhancing the tourist experience and offering new ways to interpret the local landscape. The project began at the San Roque viewpoint, chosen as the first space to incorporate this technological format, from which visitors can enjoy views of both the historic center and the Laguna valley. This new model transforms traditional observation points into interactive spaces that combine natural beauty with accessible informational content, moving beyond passive landscape viewing to provide a richer and more dynamic experience.

The municipal initiative, promoted by the Tourism Department of the La Laguna City Council, aims to equip these viewpoints with augmented reality technology, allowing visitors to identify elements on the horizon and access detailed information, 360° images, and narrated content in multiple languages through their own mobile devices. Each viewpoint will feature a panel with a QR code connecting directly to an interactive application. This approach, which leverages digital solutions, is designed to add value to La Laguna’s natural and cultural heritage, creating an educational and engaging route for both residents and tourists.

The landscape and cultural value of San Roque as the inaugural site lies in its strategic location, offering panoramas that integrate the city and its agricultural surroundings, facilitating a deeper understanding of the territory. According to authorities, the network is conceived as a connected system of observation points that will organize and diversify the municipality’s tourism offerings, balance visitor flow, and highlight areas of the landscape that previously lacked specific interpretive tools.

The project is supported by a technical study conducted by the University of La Laguna, which has laid the groundwork for this territorial network of connected viewpoints and observation points. The aim is for these spaces not to be limited to simple panoramic views but to become tools for landscape interpretation, environmental education, and understanding the historical relationship between the city and its surroundings. In this way, La Laguna reinforces its commitment to more sustainable, experiential, and innovative tourism, aligned with strategies to preserve the municipality’s natural and cultural heritage.

From our business initiatives, we would like to congratulate the La Laguna City Council and its Tourism Department on the inauguration of this network of immersive viewpoints, representing a commitment to landscape conservation and sustainable tourism in the Canary Islands. The project is highly attractive for both locals and international visitors, providing an innovative way to showcase La Laguna’s rich natural and cultural heritage, combining landscape, technology, and educational content. Furthermore, it is a replicable model that opens the door to more interactive, experience-based tourism across the Canary Islands.

In this regard, initiatives such as the promotion of agricultural development in the Valle Colino area, supported by local platforms like the Finca Los Abuelos project website, can directly benefit from these efforts. By connecting the viewpoints with content on agriculture, rural heritage, and local traditions, the City Council’s proposal strengthens the dissemination of knowledge about agriculture and popular traditions, integrating tourism, education, and sustainable development in the La Laguna region.
