New projects of rail infrastructures in Tenerife

In December 2023, the media in the Canary Islands archipelago announced two important infrastructure projects on the island of Tenerife: the creation of a tram line that will link the municipalities of Arona and Adeje, facilitating the connection between the Reina Sofía airport and the tourist areas of both municipalities; and the project to design an island rail ring, which will comprise a total of four rail lines between the north and south of the island.

From our business initiatives, we support the use of public transport and sustainable mobility as a strategy to adapt to the challenges posed by climate change and energy transition. For this reason, we consider the creation of these infrastructures to be a leap forward in improving Tenerife's transport network and significantly reducing dependence on private transport.

Nuevos proyectos de infraestructuras ferroviarias en Tenerife

En diciembre de 2023, los medios de comunicación del archipiélago canario han anunciado dos importantes proyectos de infraestructuras en la isla de Tenerife: la creación de una línea de tranvía que unirá los municipios de Arona y Adeje, facilitando la conexión entre el aeropuerto Reina Sofía y las zonas turísticas de ambos municipios; y el proyecto para diseñar un anillo insular de trenes, que comprenderá un total de cuatro líneas ferroviarias entre el norte y el sur de la isla.

Desde nuestras iniciativas empresariales, apoyamos el uso del transporte público y la movilidad sostenible, como estrategia para adaptarse a los desafíos que plantean el cambio climático y la transición energética. Por este motivo, consideramos que la creación de estas infraestructuras constituye un salto adelante para mejorar la red de transportes de Tenerife y reducir de manera significativa la dependencia del transporte privado.

The University of La Laguna boosts the labour market

The University of La Laguna is an example of how education boosts the labour market, since, according to the study "Socioeconomic Impact of the University of La Laguna", prepared by Professor Juan José Díaz Hernández, each euro spent by this academic institution generates a production of goods and services in its surroundings of 3.85 euros (i.e. almost four times more). Furthermore, every million euros invested in this University has created 53 full-time jobs, with an average salary 4.85% higher than the average salary in the Canary Islands.

From our business initiatives, we are committed to public and private universities as institutions that offer training and create quality employment, with decent salaries, in the Canary Islands.

La Universidad de La Laguna impulsa el mercado laboral

La Universidad de La Laguna constituye un ejemplo de cómo la educación impulsa el mercado laboral, pues, según el estudio "Impacto Socioeconómico de la Universidad de La Laguna", elaborado por el profesor Juan José Díaz Hernández, cada euro gastado por esta institución académica genera una producción de bienes y servicios en su entorno de 3,85 euros (es decir, casi cuatro veces más). Asimismo, cada millón de euros invertido en esta Universidad ha creado 53 empleos a tiempo completo, con un salario medio un 4,85% superior al promedio salarial de Canarias.

Desde nuestras iniciativas empresariales, apostamos por las universidades públicas y privadas como instituciones que ofrecen formación y crean empleo de calidad, con retribuciones dignas, en el archipiélago canario.

Visit to the European University of the Canary Islands

 On 30 November 2023, the coordinator of our business initiatives, Miguel Muñoz, and their secretary, Ramiro Rosón, visited the headquarters of the European University of the Canary Islands in the historic centre of La Orotava (Tenerife), in order to inform the Rectorate of the projects we are developing for the tourist destination of Playa Paraíso (Adeje). On this occasion, they were also able to visit the Church of La Concepción, which houses one of the most important examples of architecture and sacred art in Tenerife, the Municipal Library of La Orotava, the Donde el Gordo café-terrace, located in the Plaza Casañas, and the Relieve bakery, which offers a varied assortment of high quality bread, pastries and sweets.

Later, Miguel Muñoz and Ramiro Rosón travelled to Santa Cruz de Tenerife to visit the delegation of the European University of the Canary Islands in the capital of Tenerife. In this way, both gave the Secretary of the Rector of this University an extensive dossier explaining our business initiatives: the Playa Paraíso Technology Park project and the future sports marina with a marine research centre that is intended to be installed in the vicinity of the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife. This dossier also includes information on the architects who have drawn up our initiatives. Finally, Miguel Muñoz and Ramiro Rosón had lunch at the Puerto Escondido restaurant, located in the street of the same name, in the heart of the capital of Tenerife.

Our objective is to make these proposals known to the public and private universities of the Canary Islands and to create formulas for cooperation with these institutions, allowing their students to collaborate in the drafting of the various sectoral reports required by our projects. All this will make it easier to obtain financial support from investment groups for the development of Playa Paraíso as a tourist destination.

From our business initiatives, we would like to thank the attention received from the European University of the Canary Islands, both in its headquarters in La Orotava and in its delegation in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. We believe in the fundamental role of the Universities as promoters of research and development and we are firmly committed to integrating them in our projects.

Visita a la Universidad Europea de Canarias

El pasado 30 de noviembre de 2023, el coordinador de nuestras iniciativas empresariales, Miguel Muñoz, y el secretario de las mismas, Ramiro Rosón, visitaron la sede de la Universidad Europea de Canarias en el centro histórico de La Orotava (Tenerife), con el fin de informar a su Rectorado de los proyectos que estamos elaborando para el destino turístico de Playa Paraíso (Adeje). En esta ocasión, pudieron visitar también la Iglesia de la Concepción, que alberga una de las muestras de arquitectura y arte sacro más importantes de Tenerife, la Biblioteca Municipal de La Orotava, la cafetería-terraza Donde el Gordo, situada en la plaza Casañas, y la pastelería Relieve, que ofrece un variado surtido de pan, bollos y dulces de gran calidad.

Posteriormente, Miguel Muñoz y Ramiro Rosón se desplazaron a Santa Cruz de Tenerife, con el fin de visitar la delegación de la Universidad Europea de Canarias en la capital tinerfeña. De este modo, ambos entregaron a la Secretaria de la Rectora de esta Universidad un amplio dossier explicativo de nuestras iniciativas empresariales: el proyecto Parque Tecnológico Playa Paraíso y la futura marina deportiva con un centro de investigación del mar que se pretende instalar en las inmediaciones del Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife. Dentro de este dossier, se incluye información sobre los arquitectos redactores de nuestras iniciativas. Por último, Miguel Muñoz y Ramiro Rosón almorzaron en el restaurante Puerto Escondido, situado en la calle del mismo nombre, en pleno centro de la capital tinerfeña.

Nuestro objetivo consiste en dar a conocer dichas propuestas a las Universidades públicas y privadas de Canarias y crear fórmulas de cooperación con estas instituciones, permitiendo que sus estudiantes colaboren en la redacción de los diversos informes sectoriales que requieren nuestros proyectos. Todo ello facilitará la obtención del apoyo financiero de grupos inversores para el desarrollo de Playa Paraíso como destino turístico.

Desde nuestras iniciativas empresariales, queremos agradecer la atención recibida de la Universidad Europea de Canarias, tanto en su sede central de La Orotava como en su delegación de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Creemos en el papel fundamental de las Universidades como impulsoras de la investigación y el desarrollo y apostamos de forma decidida por integrarlas en nuestros proyectos.
