The work of Elsa Punset, expert in self-help and management of emotions

Eduard Punset was the well-known conductor of the Redes (Networks) programme, which was broadcasted on La 2 de Televisión Española and was dedicated to scientific dissemination. In 1959, Punset met Suzel Bannel, the daughter of a prestigious psychiatrist, in Bordeaux, after spending some years of scientific training in Spain and the United States. They got married and had three daughters: Elsa, Carolina and Nadia.

Among the three sisters, Elsa Punset identifies herself as the one who has most inherited his father’s views and way of thinking in every sphere of life. Born in London, she holds a Degree on Philosophy and Literature, a Master in Humanities by the University of Oxford and a Master in Journalism by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She works as content manager in the Social and Emotional Learning Laboratory (LASE), an initiative which provides training for people, schools and companies, based in the social, emocional and digital skills which are essential to tackle the challenges of 21st century society.

She has collaborated in different programmes broadcasted by TV channels of Spain, such as Redes (Networks), El Hormiguero (The Anthill) and Para todos La 2 (La 2 for Everybody). Besides, she has published six books about self-help and management of emotions: A compass for emotional sailors, Radical innocence, A backpack for the Universe, The world in your hands, The book of little revolutions and Happy.

From our entrepreneurial initiatives, we want to get in touch with Elsa Punset, in order to explain our projects and our goals to her, and we will do the process necessary for that in the next weeks. We consider that her views can help us to develop our initiatives and our marketing strategy, because one of the essential points which she deals with in her books is the persuasion, the ability to convince others in different spheres of life, such as work, business or personal relationships.

In La Laguna, the 3rd June 2020.
