The engineer José Luis Peraza, who collaborates with our entrepreneurial initiative “Playa Paraíso Technological Park”, has designed the water treatment plant of Acusa, located in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte (Tenerife), which represents a model of techniques for sustainable treatment of waste water.
Recently, through the public program of employment and training “Buenavista Agrosostenible”, the Council of this northern municipality has finished a training action on how to maintain a water treatment plant, in which students have carried out different tasks: cleaning and pruning of vegetal material, extracting reed (“Phragmites australis”) and moving it to a wetland, straining charcoal, extending organic matter for a biodigester and visiting the natural water treatment plant of Las Lagunetas and the municipal plant of Buenavista del Norte.
From our entrepreneurial initiatives, we want to thank the engineer José Luis Peraza for collaborating with us and congratulate the Council of Buenavista del Norte for developing this training action, because the sustainable management of hydrological resources constitutes and indispensable goal for the conservation of environment in the Canarian archipelago.
