Canary Islands create a chair in Sustainable Tourism and Digitalisation

The Government of the Canary Islands, with the collaboration of the University of La Laguna (ULL) and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), has approved the creation of a chair specialized in sustainable tourism and digitalisation, with the aim of promoting the transfer of knowledge from higher education institutions to companies in the tourism sector.

It is expected that this initiative can improve the productivity of the sector, for which it is planned to have a duration of four years and a budget of 600,000 euros for that period (75,000 euros per year for each university). From our business initiatives, we want to celebrate the creation of this new chair and congratulate the Government of the Canary Islands, the ULL and the ULPGC for this initiative, which will contribute to ensure the sustainable development of our territory.
