Last Friday, June 26th, the radio programme La Ventana, hosted by journalist Carles Francino on Cadena SER, was broadcast live from the Teatro El Sauzal, in the Tenerife municipality of the same name. The coordinator of our business initiatives, Miguel Muñoz, had the opportunity to attend this event by invitation of the organisers and wished to share the experience on our blog, given the cultural and media significance for Tenerife of hosting a live broadcast of one of the most popular programmes on national radio.
To attend, Miguel Muñoz travelled from Santa Cruz de Tenerife after his working day, which allowed him to arrive at the Teatro El Sauzal with enough time to enjoy the atmosphere before the broadcast. The chosen venue, the Teatro El Sauzal itself, is an ideal setting for this kind of event, as it is a landmark building forming part of the municipality's cultural programme, which on this occasion served as an improvised set for one of the most widely listened-to radio stations in Spain.
It is without doubt a unique experience to follow, live from the stalls, the making of a radio programme of this scale, with all the technical and human logistics involved in a broadcast away from the SER studios. Likewise, the connection of *La Ventana* from El Sauzal helped give visibility, beyond the island's borders, to the cultural and social life of Tenerife.
From our business initiatives, we very positively value this type of event, which strengthens Tenerife's profile as a cultural and media platform, and we encourage our followers to attend the cultural programme of the municipality of El Sauzal, which has become a benchmark for the north of Tenerife and the rest of the island.
