We are advertisting Carlos Martínez’s patent and brand

Nowadays, we are using our blog, “2010-Adeje Playa Paraíso Technological Park”, in order to advertise Carlos Martínez’s patent, related to the properties of aloe vera and listed in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office with the registration number P201431250, and his new brand, which has been recently registered in the European Trademark and Patent Office with the number 18.018.603, according to what the consultancy firm Premark has communicated to us through its agent, Mr. Jordi Ruiz. Carlos Martínez has signed a collaboration agreement with this company, in order to manage the selling of his patent and his brand or, as the case may be, their assignment of use.

In this sense, we want to make the most of the trip to Milan which the coordinator of our entrepreneurial initiatives, Miguel Muñoz, has programmed for September 2019, as an opportunity to know new markets for the selling of Carlos Martínez’s patent and brand. We consider that the patent can be introduced not only to established markets in the fields of health and cosmetics, but also to markets related to the world of fashion, because of its great potential in this sphere. Besides,  we intend to increase the commercial value of Karllive, the brand of aloe vera products created by Carlos Martínez.

We are in conversations about this wide range of options with Premark, the consultancy firm which works with us in the selling of the patent and the brand, with the aim of designing the most suitable business strategy for us. At the same time, we are sending information via WhatsApp on a regular basis to Mr. Jordi Ruiz, regarding to the groundwork and the advertisements which we include on our blog.

Promocionamos la patente y la marca de Carlos Martínez

En la actualidad, estamos utilizando nuestro blog, “Parque Tecnológico Playa Paraíso 2010-Adeje”, para promocionar la patente del inventor Carlos Martínez, relacionada con las propiedades del aloe vera e inscrita en la Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas con el número de registro P201431250, y su nueva marca, que recientemente se ha inscrito en la Oficina Europea de Marcas y Patentes con el número 18.018.603, según nos ha comunicado la consultora Premark a través de su gestor, el Sr. Jordi Ruiz. Carlos Martínez ha suscrito con esta entidad un convenio de colaboración para gestionar la venta de su patente y su marca o, en su caso, la cesión de uso de las mismas.

En este sentido, queremos aprovechar el viaje a Milán que el coordinador de nuestras iniciativas empresariales, Miguel Muñoz, ha programado para septiembre de 2019, como una oportunidad para conocer nuevos mercados para la venta de la patente y la marca de Carlos Martínez. Consideramos que la patente puede introducirse en mercados consolidados en el sector de la salud y la cosmética, pero también en mercados vinculados al mundo de la moda, por su enorme potencial en este ámbito. Por otro lado, pretendemos aumentar el valor comercial de Karllive, la marca de productos de aloe vera creada por Carlos Martínez.

Nos encontramos conversando sobre este abanico de opciones con Premark, la consultora que trabaja con nosotros en la gestión de la venta de la patente y la marca, con el fin de elaborar la estrategia de negocio más adecuada para este caso. Al mismo tiempo, estamos enviando información regularmente al Sr. Jordi Ruiz, a través de WhatsApp, sobre todas las gestiones y la publicidad que llevamos a cabo en nuestro blog.

Intech Tenerife: innovation agency and technological park

During the last eleven years, the current manager of Intech Tenerife, Coqui García, has attended the evolution of this public company from different decision-making positions there. Intech Tenerife has received various awards in the last years for its high management ability, becoming a reference for other technological parks in Spain.

In this period, the company has experienced dramatic changes. In its beginning, it was created as an insular innovation agency, in order to put the Tenerife Innova programme into practice. Since 2010, Intech Tenerife began to act as a technological park, opening a first business incubator, and since then it has grown with new spaces. Nowadays, it plays two basic roles: its work as an innovation agency, developing many projects in this field, and its activity as a technological park, managing spaces in order to attract startups and companies which want to settle in Tenerife.

As Coqui García says, “the main advantage of any technological park is to diversify the socioeconomic structure of a region”. In this way, it is expected to have more entrepreneurial activity in technological and innovation areas and create more job opportunities, mainly for specialized professionals such as doctors, technicians and scientists, who often migrate because they don’t get a job according to their profiles in Canary Islands.

Until now, Intech has implemented three business incubator and a coworking space, and it has the 100% of its space occupied by different companies. Regarding to employment, more than 200 people are working in activities related to R+D+I (research, development and innovation) in the said companies. It is foreseen to create new spaces in the municipalities of Santa Cruz (specifically, in the area of Cuevas Blancas) and Granadilla, with the aim of increasing the impact on the local economy.

From 2006, when Intech began its activity as an innovation agency, fostering scientific and technological vocations in the business world and the working market, they have managed that the educational centres of Tenerife know this company, generating a strong convening power, even with projects which transcend the island of Tenerife and are carried out in the regional sphere.

To summarize, it is about an intelligent strategy, focused on the main way which we intend to follow in an area of our entrepreneurial initiative “2010-Adeje Playa Paraíso Technological Park”. This proves that we can achieve technological development, create synergies and draw educational centres near to the business tissue of Tenerife and Canary Islands.

Intech Tenerife: agencia de innovación y parque tecnológico

Durante los últimos once años, la actual gerente de Intech Tenerife, Coqui García, ha asistido a la evolución de esta empresa pública desde varios puestos de responsabilidad en la misma. Intech Tenerife ha recibido galardones en los últimos años por su elevada capacidad de gestión, convirtiéndose en un referente para los demás parques tecnológicos de España.

En este periodo, la empresa ha sufrido grandes cambios. En sus inicios se creó como una Agencia Insular de Innovación, para llevar a la práctica el programa Tenerife Innova. A partir de 2010, Intech Tenerife comenzó a operar como parque tecnológico, inaugurando un primer vivero de empresas, y desde entonces ha crecido con nuevos espacios. En la actualidad, desempeña dos funciones básicas: su trabajo como agencia de innovación, desarrollando numerosos proyectos en este ámbito, y su actividad como parque tecnológico, gestionando espacios para atraer a startups y empresas que desean instalarse en Tenerife.

Como afirma Coqui García, "la principal ventaja de cualquier parque tecnológico es diversificar la estructura socioeconómica de una región". De este modo, se espera contar con más actividad empresarial en sectores tecnológicos e innovadores y crear oportunidades laborales, sobre todo para profesionales especializados como doctores, técnicos y científicos, que a menudo emigran porque no consiguen en Canarias un trabajo acorde con sus perfiles.

Hasta la actualidad, Intech ha puesto en marcha tres viveros de empresas y un espacio de coworking, y cuenta con el 100% del espacio ocupado por diversas empresas. En cuanto al empleo, más de 200 personas están trabajando en actividades vinculadas a la I+D+i (investigación, desarrollo e innovación) en dichas empresas. Se prevé crear nuevos espacios en los municipios de Santa Cruz (concretamente, en el área de Cuevas Blancas) y Granadilla, con el fin de aumentar el impacto sobre la economía local.

Desde 2006, cuando Intech inició su actividad como agencia de innovación, fomentando las vocaciones científicas y tecnológicas en el mundo empresarial y laboral, se ha conseguido que los centros educativos de Tenerife conozcan la empresa, generando un gran poder de convocatoria, incluso con proyectos que trascienden la isla de Tenerife y se llevan a cabo en el ámbito de la comunidad autónoma. A largo plazo, Intech pretende ejercer un mayor impacto sobre el PIB insular, fomentando una mayor actividad empresarial tecnológica e innovadora y generando más ofertas de empleo especializado en Tenerife.

En definitiva, se trata de una apuesta inteligente, orientada en la misma dirección que pretendemos seguir en un área de nuestra iniciativa empresarial "Parque Tecnológico Playa Paraíso 2010-Adeje", lo cual demuestra que se puede conseguir el desarrollo tecnológico, crear sinergias y acercar los centros de formación al tejido empresarial de Tenerife y de Canarias.

The Canarias Surf Film Festival 2019, an event for the spreading of marine sports

The 22th July 2019, the coordinator of our entrepreneurial initiatives, Miguel Muñoz, attended one of the sessions of the Canarias Surf Film Festival 2019, a film festival focused on surf as a theme, which is realised in an itinerant way by the islands of the Canary archipelago. The sessions of this day were hold at the Tenerife Museum of Nature and Archaeology, with a programme of activities which included concerts, exhibitions, conferences, food tastings and presentations of various films about the history of surf worldwide. To summarize, this festival can be defined as a cultural event which intends to promote a type of tourism related to the water and underwater activities which are done in different marine locations of the archipelago.

A renowned example of these locations can be found in the zone of El Médano (Granadilla, Tenerife), whose coast offers excellent conditions for practising marine sports such as surf, windsurf or kitesurf. Another example is provided by the area of Pozo Izquierdo (Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria), which has become one of the main venues of the World Windsurf Championship. In fact, the world surf community knows Canary Islands as “the European Hawaii”, not only for its subtropical climate and its volcanic origin, but also for circumstances such as the quality of its waves and its strong winds.

From our entrepreneurial initiatives, we want to congratulate the Tenerife Museum of Nature and Archaeology for the organisation of this event, which contributes to the spreading of marine sports. In our opinion, this type of sports gives us a great opportunity to open new touristic niches and improve the touristic offer of the Canary archipelago.

El Canarias Surf Film Festival 2019, un evento para la difusión de los deportes marinos

El 22 de julio de 2019, el coordinador de nuestras iniciativas empresariales, Miguel Muñoz, asistió a una de las sesiones del Canarias Surf Film Festival 2019, un festival de cine enfocado en el surf como temática y que se realiza de forma itinerante por las islas del archipiélago canario. Las sesiones de ese día se celebraron en el Museo de Naturaleza y Arqueología de Tenerife, con un programa de actividades que incluyó conciertos, exposiciones, conferencias, degustaciones gastronómicas y proyecciones de varias películas sobre la historia del surf en todo el mundo. Se trata, en suma, de un evento cultural que pretende contribuir a la promoción del turismo vinculado a las actividades acuáticas y subacuáticas que se llevan a cabo en diversos enclaves marítimos del archipiélago.

Un destacado ejemplo de estos enclaves se encuentra en la zona de El Médano (Granadilla, Tenerife), cuya costa ofrece las condiciones idóneas para practicar deportes marinos como el surf, el windsurf o el kitesurf. Otro ejemplo lo ofrece el área de Pozo Izquierdo (Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria), que se ha convertido en una de las sedes principales del campeonato mundial de Windsurf. De hecho, en la comunidad del surf mundial se conoce a las islas Canarias como “el Hawaii europeo”, no solo debido a su clima subtropical y a su origen volcánico, sino también por factores como la calidad de sus olas y sus fuertes vientos.

Desde nuestras iniciativas empresariales, queremos felicitar al Museo de Naturaleza y Arqueología de Tenerife por la organización de este evento, que contribuye a la difusión de los deportes marinos. Consideramos que este tipo de deportes ofrece una gran oportunidad para abrir nuevos nichos turísticos y mejorar la oferta turística del archipiélago canario.

The H10 Atlantic Sunset hotel has been opened in the zone of Playa Paraíso (Adeje)

In the last weeks, the five-star H10 Atlantic Sunset hotel has been opened up in the coastal area of Playa Paraíso (Adeje), which contributes to the improvement of the accommodation offer in this touristic zone. The high quality of facilities in this new resort offers a clear example of the excellent work done by the hotel chain H10, which has decided to bet on Playa Paraíso as a destination suitable for its expansion.

At the same time, the opening of this hotel provides one more reason to support the financial and legal viability of our initiative for creating a leisure port with a marine research centre in the zone of Playa Paraíso. Nowadays, our project team is working in the design of this proposal, which we are seeking the best location for.

From our entrepreneurial initiative, we want to thank the hotel chain H10 for its bet on the touristic destination of Playa Paraíso, which will contribute to reinforce the accommodation offer in the municipality of Adeje and, therefore, the business tissue in Tenerife and the whole Canarian archipelago. Se inaugura el hotel H10 Atlantic Sunset en la zona de Playa Paraíso (Adeje)

Recientemente, se ha celebrado la inauguración del hotel H10 Atlantic Sunset, de 5 estrellas, en el área costera de Playa Paraíso (Adeje), lo cual contribuye a la mejora de la oferta alojativa en esta zona turística. La calidad de las instalaciones de este nuevo complejo ofrece un claro ejemplo del magnífico trabajo que está llevando a cabo la cadena hotelera H10, la cual ha decidido apostar por Playa Paraíso como destino idóneo para su expansión.

Concerto del gruppo A Contratiempo nel Búho Club (la Laguna), il 13 iuglio 2019

La città universitaria di La Laguna ha una ampia offerta d’ozio notturno. Presso il centro storico della città si può trovare un gran numero di pubs e di luoghi d’ozio per la gioventù; dietro quest’area, il Búho Club ha diventato un locale di riferimento per ascoltare buona musica e godere d’una buona animazione.

Il sabato 13 iuglio 2019, il groppo di rock A Contratiempo suonò in questo locale, incirca alle undici di sera, realizzando un magnifico spettacolo basato sulle canzone delle anni 80. Si tratta d’un groppo composto dalla cantante Benedetta di Cicco, il chitarrista Aníbal Déniz ed il batterista Lobo Hernández, chi resero piacevole la serata con una scelta delle canzone più famose di quell’epoca sullo scenario di questo conosciuto pub, che già conta una lunga traiettoria di concerti di gruppi ed autori rinomati.

Il coordinatore, Miguel Muñoz, asistette a questo concerto e, quando l’spettacolo finì, conobbe i membri del gruppo. Egli colse l’occasione per spiegarli i nostri due iniziative imprenditoriale in corso (“Parco Tecnologico Playa Paraíso 2010-Adeje” e la proposta per creare un porto sportivo ed un centro di ricerca marina nella zona di Playa Paraíso, presso il Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife); allo stesso tempo, gli commentò il nostro plan di fare un viaggio a Milano per presentare la patente del inventore Carlos Martínez, basata sulle proprietà dell’aloe vera.

Dal nostro blog, vogliamo felicitare i membri del gruppo A Contratiempo per il suo magnifico spettacolo e gli desideriamo successi in futuro.

Concert by the group A Contratiempo at the Búho Club (La Laguna), the 13th July 2019

The university town of La Laguna has a wide nightlife offer. Close to the historical centre of the city you can find a number of pubs and leisure venues for youth. Within this area, the Búho Club has become a place of reference for listening to good music and enjoying a good atmosphere.

On Saturday 13th July 2019, the rock band A Contratiempo performed at this venue, around 11PM, putting on an excellent show based on songs of the 80s. It is a band made up by the singer Benedetta di Cicco, the guitarist Aníbal Déniz and the drummer Lobo Hernández, which entertain the audience with a selection of the most famous songs of that decade, on the stage of this well-known pub, which already has a long track records of performances by renowned groups and authors.

The coordinator, Miguel Muñoz, attended this concert and, when the show ended, had the opportunity to meet the members of the band. He also took advantage of that occasion to explain them our two current entrepreneurial initiatives (“2010-Adeje Playa Paraíso Technological Park and the proposal to create a leisure port and a marine research centre on the area of Playa Paraíso); at the same time, he talked them about our plan of going on a trip to Milan to present inventor Carlos Martínez’s patent, based on the properties of aloe vera.

Concierto del grupo A Contratiempo en el Búho Club (La Laguna), el 13 de julio de 2019

La ciudad universitaria de La Laguna tiene una amplia oferta de ocio nocturno. Cerca del centro histórico de la ciudad se puede encontrar gran cantidad de pubs y zonas de ocio para la juventud; dentro de esta área, el Búho Club se ha convertido en un local de referencia para escuchar buena música y disfrutar de un buen ambiente.

El sábado 13 de julio de 2019, el grupo de rock A Contratiempo actuó en este local, en torno a las 23:00 horas, realizando un magnífico espectáculo basado en canciones de los años 80. Se trata de un grupo formado por la cantante Benedetta di Cicco, el guitarrista Aníbal Déniz y el batería Lobo Hernández, que amenizaron la noche con una selección de las canciones más famosas de aquella época sobre el escenario de este conocido pub, que ya cuenta con una larga trayectoria de actuaciones de grupos y autores destacados.

El coordinador, Miguel Muñoz, pudo asistir a este concierto y, cuando finalizó el espectáculo, tuvo la ocasión de conocer a los miembros del grupo. Aprovechó para explicarles nuestras dos iniciativas empresariales en curso (“Playa Paraíso 2010-Adeje” y la propuesta para crear un puerto deportivo y un centro de investigación marina en la zona de Playa Paraíso); al mismo tiempo, les comentó nuestro plan de realizar un viaje a Milán para presentar la patente del inventor Carlos Martínez, basada en las propiedades del aloe vera.

Desde nuestro blog, queremos felicitar a los miembros del grupo A Contratiempo por su magnífica actuación y les deseamos éxitos en el futuro.

The Canary Islands become a reference in wedding tourism

The 15th July 2019, the newspaper El Día has published the article The Canary Islands make business tying the knot, which explains how this archipelago has become a reference for wedding and events tourism. In this sense, the Canary Islands has some advantages to develop this kind of tourism, such as the warmth of its climate, the beauty of its landscapes, its quality as a touristic destination and its closeness to Europe, because it is a few hours flight from most European countries.

From our entrepreneurial initiative, we think that the coastal zone of Adeje and, especially, the area of Playa Paraíso offer the most suitable places for this kind of tourism in Tenerife, because they have a wide lodging offer, which has included new accomodations, such as the five-star H10 Hotel and the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife. At the same time, tourists can find attractions such as a sunny climate during all the year and dreamy sunsets.

It is about a business which profitability attracts more and more to hotels, real estates and wedding planners which profit from these weddings of foreigners captivated by the island environment, climate and gastronomy, as much for chartering planes as for celebrating the time of their lives. "Couples usually spend an average of 250 euros per guest, without taking accomodation and transfer into account, only in the celebration, the banquet, the party, the decorations and other services such as photographers and musicians", explains Bernadette Garside, director and foundress of The Perfect Wedding Company, a firm specialised in organising weddings for foreigners in Southern Gran Canaria.

Wedding and events tourism could constitute an economic driver for our entrepreneurial initiatives: "Playa Paraíso 2010-Adeje Technological Park" and the proposal for creating a leisure port and a marine research centre in the zone of Playa Paraíso. The combination of all these factors would improve the touristic offer of the coastal zone of Adeje, contributing to maintain its role as a touristic reference at an international level.

According to our will of promoting the zone of Playa Paraíso as a touristic destination, we are planning the presentation of our two entrepreneurial initiatives at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which our two architects (Jerónimo Padrón López and Alejandro Díaz Martín) would attend, in order to seek investors interested in making them a reality. We expect that both initiatives reinforce Playa Paraíso as a touristic destination not only for Europe, but also for other potential markets in the world.

Canarias se convierte en un referente del turismo de bodas

El 15 de julio de 2019, el periódico El Día ha publicado el artículo Canarias hace negocio con el "sí, quiero", en el cual se explica cómo el archipiélago se ha convertido en un referente para el turismo de bodas y eventos. En este sentido, Canarias posee una serie de ventajas para desarrollar este tipo de turismo, como la suavidad de su clima, la belleza de sus paisajes, su calidad como destino turístico y su cercanía con Europa, pues se encuentra a pocas horas de vuelo de la mayoría de los países europeos.

Se trata de un negocio cuya rentabilidad atrae cada vez más a hoteles, fincas y wedding planners que se nutren de estas bodas de foráneos embelesados por el entorno, el clima y la gastronomía isleña, tanto para fletar aviones con rumbo a Canarias como para celebrar su gran día. "Las parejas suelen desembolsar una media de unos 250 euros por invitado, sin contar con el alojamiento y el traslado, solo en lo que es la celebración, el banquete, la fiesta, la decoración y otros servicios como fotógrafos o músicos", explica Bernadette Garside, directora y fundadora de The Perfect Wedding Company, empresa especializada en organizar bodas para extranjeros en el sur de Gran Canaria.

Desde nuestra iniciativa empresarial, consideramos que la zona costera de Adeje y, sobre todo, el área de Playa Paraíso ofrecen los enclaves más adecuados para este tipo de turismo en Tenerife, pues disponen de una enorme oferta hotelera, que ha incorporado nuevos alojamientos, como el hotel H10 de 5 estrellas y el Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife. Al mismo tiempo, cuentan con atractivos como un clima soleado durante todo el año y unos atardeceres de ensueño.

El turismo de bodas y eventos podría constituir un elemento dinamizador para nuestras iniciativas empresariales: "Parque Tecnológico Playa Paraíso 2010-Adeje" y la propuesta para crear un puerto deportivo y un centro de investigación marina en la zona de Playa Paraíso. La conjunción de todos estos factores mejoraría la oferta turística de la zona costera de Adeje, contribuyendo a mantener su condición de referente turístico a nivel internacional.

En nuestra voluntad de promocionar la zona de Playa Paraíso como destino turístico, estamos planificando la presentación de nuestras dos iniciativas empresariales en la Cámara de Comercio e Industria de Londres, a la que acudirían nuestros dos arquitectos (Jerónimo Padrón López y Alejandro Díez Martín), con el fin de buscar inversores para llevarlas a cabo. Esperamos que ambas iniciativas refuercen Playa Paraíso como un destino turístico no solo para Europa, sino también para otros mercados potenciales en el mundo.
