Visit to the University of La Laguna and Southern Tenerife, the 28th February 2019

The 28th February 2019, the coordinator, Miguel Muñoz, and the inventor Carlos Martínez visited the University of La Laguna and the area of Southern Tenerife, in order to promote the touristic destination of Playa Paraíso, located in the coast of Adeje, and Carlos Martínez’s patent, related to the cosmetic properties of aloe vera.

We are managing the sale or the assignment of use of this patent with the support of the lawyer and contributor Ramiro Rosón and the consultant Premark, a Barcelona-based company which specialises in the sale of trademarks and patents. At the same time, on our blog, “Playa Paraíso Technological Park”, we are promoting the patent and contributing to its spreading.

The program of this working day began at the campus of the University of La Laguna, visiting the Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology. This is a scientific institution which encompasses from basic research to technological development, focusing on three main areas: chemical sciences and technologies, agrarian sciences and natural resources.

Then, we moved to Southern Tenerife to visit Aloe Park, a property dedicated to aloe vera production and placed in Guaza (Arona), with the aim of advertising the research work of the inventor Carlos Martínez. This property, which is used not only as a cultivation area, but also as a centre for the interpretation and sale of aloe vera and its derived products, has gained international recognition and has more than 30 years of experience in this sector from its opening. There, its manager received us with great kindness and we could visit its facilities.

After the visit to Aloe Park, we finished our working day in Playa Paraíso, visiting the Bahía Príncipe Hotel, in order to promote our two entrepreneurial initiatives: “2010-Adeje Playa Paraíso Technological Park” and our proposal for a leisure port with a marine research center, which would be located in the vicinities of the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife. In the same zone, we enjoyed a lunch at the Roca Negra Sunset Club, an entertainment and cuisine venue which has opened up in the surroundings of El Pinque beach.

In this way, we are planning a second trip to the city of London, where we would culminate the groundwork carried out in the first trip, which the coordinator took from 1st to 8th December 2018. In this second trip, the coordinator will visit the British capital with the architects Jerónimo Padrón López and Alejandro Díez Martín, in order to promote both entrepreneurial initiatives before the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and groups of investors. In this sense, we are studying the best location possible for the leisure port, which could be placed in the area where the Bahía Príncipe Hotel lies (Adeje), because it has the best conditions to build a high-quality and avant-garde marina.

In La Laguna, the 9th July 2019.

The coordinator,
Miguel Muñoz
